Description

These positions host environmental education programs at the visitor center and visit local schools and organizations to achieve curriculum needs. The naturalists also support facility maintenance tasks at the visitor center and lead public wildlife watching tours on the refuge. The naturalist program runs through the busy winter months of operations. This period was selected because IT aligns closely with local school field trip schedules as well as winter sleigh ride operations. During this period the refuge sees the largest influx of visitors who are specifically visiting the refuge and refuge facilities.
