Description
Compact, modular, and high-yield membrane reactor for carbon-neutral methanol synthesis from direct air capture and carbon-free hydrogen production the objectives of this project are to 1) conceptually design a compact, modular, and high-yield membrane reactor process for carbon-neutral methanol synthesis using carbon dioxide from direct air capture (DAC) and carbon-free hydrogen, 2) demonstrate the feasibility of the integrated process by performing techno economic analysis and life cycle assessment, and 3) fabricate and operate the integrated lab-scale system for greater than 2 months in phase 2.
