Description

UMD will develop CO-simulation decision support software tools for the design of next-generation data centers that dramatically lower energy demand, CO2 footprint, and cost while maintaining exceptionally high reliability. FOA technical category a and b awardees will depend on the resulting software to achieve transformational and disruptive design advances compared to existing state-of-the-art technologies. Without this tool, technical category a and b teams would, in the best case, be restricted to doing each of these simulations separately and on different incompatible platforms; in the worst case, they would be forced to rely on heuristics.
