About this award
This Cooperative Agreement, awarded by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), provides the North Carolina Department of Transportation's Aviation Division, doing business as the NC Division of Aviation, with $255,380.00 in administrative funding. The purpose is to allow the Division to manage and oversee state block grants received under the FAA's Airport Improvement Program, COVID-19 Airports Programs, and Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act Programs (CFDA 20.106). This includes managing personnel, contracting, and other costs associated with administering grants for the Airport Infrastructure Grant (AIG) Program, the FAA Contract Tower (FCT) Grant Program, and the Airport Terminal Program (ATP) Grant Program across North Carolina. As the primary state-level recipient of FAA airport infrastructure grants, the NC Division of Aviation will utilize this funding to support its role in implementing these critical federal programs and distributing funds to nonprimary airports throughout the state.
