About this award

The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) has awarded a 5-year, $6,000,000 Cooperative Agreement to Middle East Education Through Technology (MEET) under the USAID Foreign Assistance for Programs Overseas (CFDA 98.001) program. The Education2Action (E2A) program seeks to create a network of entrepreneurial peacemakers equipped with skills, opportunities, and motivation to address high-impact challenges in and between Palestinian and Israeli communities. The program will directly benefit approximately 1,160 young Israelis and Palestinians through a three-pillar approach:

  1. Education: A two-year educational program implemented in partnership with MIT, engaging Israeli and Palestinian youth ages 15-17.
  2. Action: A two-year bi-national hands-on entrepreneurial and volunteer practicum stage for participants of the educational program, ages 17-19.
  3. Influence: Leveraging MEET's existing alumni network (ages 20+) to enhance the success of the first two pillars and expand the E2A program's influence.

The program will recruit participants from East Jerusalem, West Jerusalem, the West Bank, and throughout Israel, with an emphasis on underrepresented groups.
