The expected outcomes include mitigation of the existing erosion issues, stabilization of the slope leading to kingston lake, and promotion of stormwater infiltration to reduce nonpoint source pollution to the lake. Specifically, reduced phosphorus, nitrogen, and sediment loads to kingston lake (to be calculated as part of this project) leading to long-term improved water quality in kingston lake and the camp lincoln beach is a major expected outcome. Additionally, reduction of erosion at camp lincoln, restoration of bare soil to native grasses or other native plant species, and the addition of native plant species and wildlife habitat are other important outcomes, alongside outcomes such as improved accessibility, safety, and increased awareness of erosion and stormwater runoff impacts for camp attendees. The intended beneficiaries include all campers, camp visitors, camp staff, as well as all users of kingston lake.
