The Department of Health and Human Services Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) awarded a $896,412 Block Grant to the New Mexico Department of Human Services for the period of September 1, 2021 through September 30, 2025. The grant supports the state's plan to deliver comprehensive community mental health services as part of SAMHSA's Block Grants for Community Mental Health Services program (CFDA 93.958). Funding will enable the New Mexico Department of Human Services to provide adults with serious mental illness and children with serious emotional disturbances access to services including treatment, case management, and psychiatric rehabilitation. As the single state agency for mental health, the New Mexico Department of Human Services will oversee grant administration and coordination of services for eligible individuals in Santa Fe County.
