Field Deployable Gas Chromatograph
Added: Jul 21, 2015 9:45 am The U.S. Army Dugway Proving Ground Mission Installation Contracting Command is seeking sources that can provide a field deployable low thermal mass gas comatography/mass selective detection system interfaced with thermal separation probe and thermal desorber. Must be able to monitor atomic mass range from 10 to 1000 molecular weights. GC must be transportable to be able to operate in the field GC must be able to provide quick response using the low thermal mass (LTM) technology based on the GC column for direct and rapid heating up to 1200 oC /min) and fast cooling for faster on-site analysis. MSD analyzer must be gold hyperbolic quartz quadrupole to ensure reliability of each measurement GC/MSD must be compatible with NIST searchable spectra of unknown samples GC must be integrated with a compact thermal desorber for real time fast gas sampling introduction in the field. GC must be equiped with automatic liquid sampler to deliver the fastest injection times and permit option of auto-sampler GC/MSD must be combined as one unit that is a stand-alone instrument. The instrument must have a sampling option of liquid, solid, and vapor. GC/MSD must be a portable having physical dimension of no greater than 60 cm x 60 cm x 60 cm deep. The instrument must weigh less than 50 kg for the mainframe not accounting for the pump. This unit must utilize a standard pump (weight less than 15 kg). Preconcentrator for vapor monitoring must have thermal desorber and heat traced. The air sample in field must be able to desorbed off up to 350oC from the tube and onto a cold trap holding at ambient condition in the thermal desorber.
