Biosense Webster Electrophysiology products contain intellectual property owned solely by Biosense Webster. Carto ® 3 proprietary products cannot be produced or recreated tough any other source. The NACIS code is 339112 with a size standard of 500 employees. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive proposals or a solicitation of offers. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirements by submitting documentation with cost and detailing their experience in providing these products, to the Contract Specialist via email at Jessica.coleman-smith@va.gov. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This is only a Sources Sought to see if any other vendors can meet the requirements The Department of Veterans Affairs is conducting a sources sought to obtain information regarding: (1) the availability and capability of qualified small business sources; (2) whether they are Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, Veteran-Owned, Small Business, HUB Zone 8(a), Women-Owned, or small disadvantaged business concerns; and (3) their size classification relative to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for the proposed acquisition. Your responses to the information requested will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method, including whether a set-aside is possible. An organization that is not considered a small business under the applicable NAICS code should not submit a response to this notice. The NAICS code is 339112 (Size Standard: 500 employees) DESCRIPTION OF THE REQUIREMENT: Subject: Upgrade the existing cardiac mapping system at the Birmingham VAMC. NCO 7, Birmingham VAMC is seeking potential sources to install software upgrades to the existing cardiac mapping system installed by Biosense Webster at Birmingham VA Medical Center, Birmingham, AL. Qualified offerors must be able to install software upgrades to an existing fully operational cardiac mapping system. The contractor shall provide the following software: " CartoUnivu™ Module is a modular software package to be used with the Carto® 3 System. " Carto® SmartTouch™ 3D Module is a combination of our Carto® 3 SmartTouch™ Module technology and the VisiTag™ Module. INCLUDED WITH ABOVE: " Carto®3 SmartTouch™ Module is a module software package to be used with the Carto® 3 System. This software allows the user to display the real-time force and catheter tip-to-tissue orientation as well as tip angle in a simple display. The force graph displays the force range and calculated parameters toughout the case. " VISITAG™ Module is a modular software package to be used with the Carto® 3 System. They above items essential components required for upgrading the existing cardiac mapping system at the medical center. This procurement involves licensed, proprietary software, software upgrades and proprietary passwords. Please indicate if you can provide the equipment, installation services as well as training for medical staff using the equipment. ?
