Description
SAP purchase requisition: 4200264181 geospatial research innovation design (grid) sbir phase III project customization of mobile online intelligent decision support system purpose: to customize the mapadapt web map service (previously sbir phase II mobile online intelligent decision support system -modiss) to provide NASA john c. Stennis space center the ability to monitor real-time environmental data via distributed methods. Scope: the mapadapt products are the next generation of advancements to the modiss developed on the NASA sbir phase II and provides multilevel solutions which can be modified to unique geospatial needs. The focus of mapadapt is to provide a geospatial server that supports rapid, mobile, and real-time data sharing and fusion. There are four components to the mapadapt : mapadapt web map service (WMS), mapadapt arcserver, mapadapt mobile, and mapadapt portable. This phase III will extend the development of the phase II technology to capture and integrate weather data related to NASA stennis space center into other NASA systems, such as nvision's naznet. This technology will further be used to assist the decision support at the NASA stennis space center. The basic tasks will provide for the development of mapadapt WMS portable for fully portable emergency decision support solution for NASA stennis employees, partners, and contractors contained within in a portable USB flash drive; modification of mapadapt WMS deployment along with the three existing weather stations and connection software to nvision's haznet; and modification of mapadapt WMS to provide real-time connection to coastal environmental sensors, such as NOAA tide stations and weather stations with connection into nvision haznet. Tasks: task 1 - develop a NASA customized version of mapadapt WMS portable that includes all emergency data of specified coastal areas needed for emergency management or individual decisions. Customize a compile mapadapt WMS portable for USB drive. Task 2 - develop a NASA customized version of mapadapt WMS to support existing sbir phase II prototype weather stations installed across the SSC facility. This NASA. Mapadapt WMS will be engineered with the capability to include additional weather stations. This NASA mapadapt WMS will be designed to integrate into the nvision haznet system and allow for real-time weather information to be accessed within haznet. To accomplish this task, sites will be selected for the three phase II weather stations and the weather stations will be installed with NASA mapadapt WMS weather station support to each station and connectivity with haznet. Task 3 - work with NOAA to have access to real-time data and develop a version of mapadapt WMS to support existing sbir phase II real-time data acquisition capability by building software connections to port in NOAA national ocean service coastal tide stations which can provide NASA a means to monitor tidal and weather parameters for the pearl river and other gulf outlets. Integrate this mapadapt WMS capability into nvision's haznet system. Deliverables: NASA mapadapt WMS portable 500 USB flash drives for use with mapadapt WMS portable NASA mapadapt WMS weather station software installation of NASA mapadapt WMS weather station software in the three phase II weather stations and connectivity with the haznet system. NASA mapadapt WMS NOAA connection software and connectivity to the haznet system. Period of performance: the period of performance shall be the date of this order and shall continue through september 30, 2009. Note: the milestone schedule for the project must be included in the proposal.
