This federal contract award, valued at $9,784.14, was made by the Intermountain Region of the National Park Service (NPS) to Silmar Electronics, Inc. to install and maintain a security system for the Dinosaur National Monument Quarry Exhibit Hall during renovation. The exhibit hall contains approximately 1,500 priceless Jurassic-period dinosaur fossils that will be vulnerable to vandalism and theft during construction. The security equipment, which will be installed by park staff, includes monitoring and detection devices to improve security and protection of the fossil face. This contract is not associated with a set-aside program. Following construction, the security system will be integrated into the overall security plan for the quarry exhibit hall.
