The existing contract for service maintenance is very critical for patient care results for infectious diseases that may be spread to hospital personnel or other patients, the proprietary technology required for the approve services by FDA. The nature of harm that would be brought to NIH CC patients result in delayed diagnosis and treatment, Therefore, Having state -of-the-art equipment available has is an asset for the DLM as adequacy of the associated supplies and the purpose they serve.MethodThe NIH Clinical Center anticipates awarding a purchase order under the direction of commercial item procedures to one (1) organization that meets the overall qualifications needed to provide support servicesFor service maintenance support for Film Assay Equipment for the purpose of patients care testing for managing infectious diseases. This testing may require that is not available in routine testing. The primary purpose of this announcement is to identify all potential sources regardless of organization, type and size classification and determine their capabilities to fulfill a potential Government requirement. Order will result in a firm fixed price Order for Bio Fire Diagnostics to Provide, proper maintenance support services for 3 instruments currently used in the on site for testing for Microbiology Services. The equipment must be reliable for providing patient care result for infectious diseases. Because of the proprietary technology and approved FDA instrument, No other vendor can supply parts and trained engineers to service t these Film Array instrument.Proper maintenance of the equipment and a reliable is critical to providing important patient care result at the Clinical Center for which for which the Government intent to solicit and negotiate with only one sole source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1.This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. The Government will not be responsible for any cost incurred in preparation of statements, proposal or quotations. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. No solicitation or additional information will be made available with regards to this sole source notice.Sole source determination is based on the followingThe Film Array instrument is compatible with existing equipment being and the only sources capable providing maintenance services in accordance with the original equipment specifications .BioFire Diagnostics is the only vendor who is capable of providing the required equipment and system , which includes unique proprietary capabilities that are required to satisfy Government minimum requirements.The intended procurement will be classified under North American Industry Classification System Code 811219The requirement is being processed in accordance with the simplified acquisition procedures as stated in FAR 13.106-(b)(1).The Government shall consider all responses received prior to the close date of this announcement.
