Solicitation 1/3 12/14/20, 12:16 PM J061--Generator and Associated Equipment Maintenance and Storage
The Department of Veterans Affairs published a Special Notice for generator and associated equipment maintenance and storage services. The notice provides additional information regarding a contract modification made through an equitable adjustment to transfer equipment items between storage locations and require maintenance services.
The Special Notice details a sole source justification to increase an existing contract value by $122,760 to a new total of $611,371. This is to cover the costs of transferring generator and HVAC equipment to a new storage space owned by the current contractor, and maintaining two diesel generator units. As the contractor is the only authorized service provider able to uphold the equipment manufacturers' warranties, competition was restricted and a sole source award made. Eligible contractors are not sought as the requirement is being met through a justified contract modification to the existing service provider.
