About this award
The National Aeronautics and Space Administration Shared Services Center has awarded a $136,644 grant to the University Corporation for Atmospheric Research's National Center for Atmospheric Research to characterize the relationship between water vapor and cold point tropopause temperature using in situ measurements from the DCOTSS and ACCLIP field campaigns conducted during the 2021 and 2022 boreal summers. The research project does not have a set-aside designation. Under the grant, the National Center for Atmospheric Research will analyze measurements collected through the DCOTSS and ACCLIP programs to better understand the link between water vapor levels and cold point tropopause temperatures. The characterization work will be completed by December 2024 and aims to provide NASA with insights relevant to its atmospheric and climate research goals.
