This is NOT a request for proposal (RFP) or an invitation for bid (IFB), nor is it to be construed as a commitment by the government. Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. The mission of the LTLM is to provide accurate targeting data to execute effective fires for artillery and mortars. The LTLM consists of a day sight, night sight, laser rangefinder, and digital magnetic compass. The night sight can be either integrated with the system or an add-on night sight. The LTLM will interface with a Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver to provide self-location and target location; interface with a Forward Observer Software (FOS) device to transmit targeting information is desired. The US Army Research and Development Command Acquisition Center intends to award up to two 5 year Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) production contracts to meet Rapid Fielding Initiative (RFI) and Grow-the-Army requirements and to meet the emerging requirement in the US Army Armor Center (USAARMC).
