About this award

This firm fixed-price delivery order was awarded to Odyssey International, Inc., a small disadvantaged, woman-owned business, by the U.S. Army's Northeast Region. The $721,662.44 contract addresses the replacement of the ineffective air distribution and filtration system, including direct-fired makeup air units, ductwork, motors, and other components, at the indoor shooting range in Building P-11160 at Fort Drum, New York. Additionally, a radiant heating system and quarry tile overlay will be installed to enhance shooter comfort. This contract was set aside for HUBZone businesses.

Description

The air distribution and filtration system and associated ductwork for the ranges has become ineffective for its designed use at bldg. P-11160 (indoor range 1) FT drum, NY. The existing equipment is not creating sufficient airflow velocities and flow patterns to meet current standards for indoor shooting facilities. This project will address the replacement of direct fired makeup air units with indirect fired, pad mounted air handlers. The existing ductwork, grills, motors, and sheaves will be replaced for remaining air handlers. In addition, a radiant heat and quarry tile overlay will be installed from the firing lines to observation window to enhance shooter comfort and provide heat to the space.
