The project combines expertise in atmospheric,...
This is a federal contract award from the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL), a division of the California Institute of Technology (Caltech), to provide research, engineering, and technical services in support of the Orbiting Carbon Observatory-2 (OCO-2) project. The $18,000,000.00 cost-plus-award-fee contract was awarded on April 28, 2010 with a period of performance through March 31, 2011. The contract is funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) and is not set aside for any...
This is a cost-plus-fixed-fee delivery order contract awarded by NASA Langley Research Center to Cornell Technical Services LLC, a small technology and professional services business. The purpose is to obtain support for independent reviews and associated activities for the Orbiting Carbon Observatory-3 (OCO-3) project, which is part of NASA's Earth System Science Pathfinder program. OCO-3 is designed to collect space-based measurements to quantify variations in atmospheric carbon dioxide and...
This federal contract award, with the ID NNN12AA01C|NNN13D112T, is between the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and the California Institute of Technology (Caltech), a private nonprofit educational institution, for the Orbiting Carbon Observatory (OCO-2) mission. As the prime contractor, Caltech's Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) division is required to perform work designated in task orders issued by NASA. This work supports NASA's Science Mission Directorate (SMD) in...
This is a $97,487,513.00 delivery order contract awarded by the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL), a division of the California Institute of Technology (Caltech), to conduct work on the Orbiting Carbon Observatory-2 (OCO-2) project. The contract is a cost-plus-fixed-fee arrangement with an ultimate completion date of September 30, 2029. Caltech, as the prime contractor, will provide tailored formulation and other services related to the OCO-2 mission, which involves advanced space systems,...
This is a grant awarded by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) to the California Institute of Technology (Caltech), a private research university. The purpose of the grant is to improve spectroscopic knowledge of molecular absorption coefficients for carbon dioxide and oxygen, which is critical for proper interpretation of data from NASA's Orbiting Carbon Observatory-2 (OCO-2) satellite. The grant will fund a collaborative effort to simultaneously use data from three...
This is a $76,456,052.00 cost-plus-fixed-fee delivery order contract awarded by the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, a civilian agency under the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), to the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) for the Orbiting Carbon Observatory-3 (OCO-3) project. The contract has an ultimate completion date of September 30, 2028 and does not have a set-aside designation, indicating Caltech's competitive capabilities in this area. As a non-profit...
This federal contract award to Atmospheric & Environmental Research Inc. (AER) is a $178,869.46 grant from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Shared Services Center. The purpose of the grant is to provide direct assessment and validation of the capability for NASA's Orbiting Carbon Observatory-2 (OCO-2) satellite to accurately resolve regional-scale gradients of atmospheric carbon dioxide (CO2) concentrations in an urban domain. AER will leverage a network of...
This federal contract award, identified as 80NSSC18K1312, was granted to Colorado State University (CSU) by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) for research related to measurements of atmospheric carbon dioxide (CO2) concentrations. "" OTHER FUNCTIONS: TASK ORDER TITLE: ORBITING CARBON OBSERVATORY-2 (OCO-2)'S TEAM MEMBER SUPPORT PERFORMING REVIEW ACTIVITIES THROUGH THE OPERATION READINESS REVIEW (ORR). THE OCO-2 PROJECT IS MANAGED AT THE JET PROPULSION LABORATORY (JPL). PROJECT/MISSION SCIENCE OBJECTIVE IS TO COLLECT THE FIRST SPACE-BASED GLOBAL MEASUREMENTS OF ATMOSPHERIC CO2 WITH THE PRECISION, RESOLUTION, AND COVERAGE NEEDED TO CHARACTERIZE ITS SOURCES AND SINKS ON REGIONAL SCALES AND QUANTIFY THEIR VARIABILITY OVER THE SEASONAL CYCLE. THE OCO-2 SRB IS TASKED TO PERFORM AN INDEPENDENT ASSESSMENT OF THE OCO-2 PROJECT. THIS TASK WILL PROVIDE CONTRACTOR EXPERTISE IN SUPPORT OF THE OCO-2 SRB. THE SRB CHAIR FOR THIS EFFORT WILL BE A CIVIL SERVANT. THIS TASK IS CREATED TO COVER OCO-2 S REVIEW ACTIVITY INCLUDING TECHNICAL AND SCIENCE MEETINGS AS WELL AS SUBSYSTEM REVIEWS THROUGH ORR. STANDING REVIEW BOARD (SRB) IS RESPONSIBLE FOR INDEPENDENTLY ASSESSING THE HEALTH OF THE PROGRAM. INDEPENDENT REVIEWS OF PROGRAMS ARE CONDUCTED AT DEFINED LIFECYCLE MILESTONES AND ARE USED TO OBJECTIVELY ASSESS THE PROJECT S PROGRESS AGAINST THE PROJECT PLAN, ITS READINESS TO PROCEED TO THE NEXT LIFECYCLE PHASE, COMPLIANCE WITH NPR 7120.5 AND NPR 7123.1 REQUIREMENTS.
