About this award
This is a task order award under contract NNK15MA02B/NNK16MA14T to Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC), a woman-owned business, by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration's (NASA) Kennedy Space Center. The $1,261,302.06 fixed-price task order is for work on the Advanced Plant Habitat (APH) system, which is part of NASA's broader plant habitat program. The contract requires SNC to perform testing, develop crew training videos and procedures, and provide flight hardware for the APH system, which includes subsystems like avionics, software, growth light assembly, power distribution, thermal control, water recovery, environmental control, and structural components. This task order does not have a small business set-aside designation. SNC has received prior prime contract awards and grants from NASA and other agencies for a variety of aerospace and defense products and services.
