There is no solicitation, specifications or drawings available at this time.Military Sealift Fleet Support Command is seeking eligible businesses who can provide all management, supervision, personnel, labor, materials and equipment (except for Government furnished items) required to maintain and support the MTU 20V8000M71L Main Diesels, including, but not limited to main diesels, diesel monitoring and control systems, safety devices, EOS panel, and engine mounted devices on Joint High Speed Vessel (JHSV) Class Vessels. . The work is to be performed by Tognum America Inc authorized/certified technicians and the navigation parts and equipment is to be provided by Tognum America Inc authorized distributors. It is anticipated that service representatives will be required to visit JHSV class vessels at various ports.Estimated issue date of this solicitation is on/about 3 November 2011. After issuance, solicitation may be obtained tu Federal Business Opportunity (FEDBIZOPS)All Small businesses, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, Certified HUBZone, Woman Owned and Certified 8(a) Small Businesses are encouraged to respond. The Government will determine whether a set-aside acquisition in lieu of full and open competition is in the Government's best interest. This office anticipated award of a contract no later than 11 May 2011. The appropriate NAICS Code is 333611. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE OR PROPOSAL. It is a market research tool used to determine the availability and adequacy of potential small business sources prior to determining the method of acquisition and issuance of an award. Added: Oct 13, 2011 3:06 pm The Department of the Navy, Military Fleet Support Command intends to award a sole-source indefinite delivery-requirements type contract to Tognum America Inc.,13400 W Outer Dr West, Detroit, MI. in accordance with 10 U.S.C. 2304©(1) as implemented at FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other services will satisfy agency requirements, to provide field service and shop repair support and parts for MTU 20V8000M71L Main Diesels, including, but not limited to main diesels, diesel monitoring and control systems, safety devices, EOS panel, and engine mounted devices on Joint High Speed Vessel (JHSV) Class Ships.The actual work shall be performed onboard vessels and at authorized Tognum America facilities in the region specified in the delivery order. The government anticipates award of a single contract for a base period of one year, with four (4) one year option periods. The RFP shall not be set-aside for small business concerns.The estimated issued date for this solicitation is on or about 4 November 201 with an estimated closing date of 5 December 2011.
