About this award
This is a $10,000,000.00 cost-plus-fixed-fee delivery order contract awarded by the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) to DCS Corporation, doing business as Infoscitex Corp, for simulation-based research and development (SBR&D) to support the development of aerospace systems technologies. The contract is not set aside for any small business designation.
The objective is to design, develop, enhance, and implement a variety of modeling, simulation, and analysis (MS&A) capabilities to enable a rapid and flexible spiral development approach for researching and maturing emerging aerospace technologies. This includes capabilities for constructive simulation, virtual simulation, hardware-in-the-loop simulation, flight test, and multidisciplinary design. The SBR&D approach serves as risk mitigation for technical, cost, and schedule risks, and supports the development of current and future aerospace vehicles, sensors, electronic warfare systems, communication systems, weapon systems, and other critical Air Force capabilities.
Infoscitex has subcontracted portions of the work to Linquest Corporation, Engility LLC, Leidos, Inc., Nicalmas LLC, and Radiance Technologies Inc. These subcontractors will contribute specialized expertise in areas such as digital solutions, system engineering, autonomy, and modeling and simulation. The contract is part of Infoscitex's broader portfolio of large indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contracts with the Air Force, valued at over $900 million, to provide advanced technology research, engineering, and analytical services.
