Added: July 28, 2007 Classification Code: F- Natural resource & conservation services Description The United States Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) Region 5 Contracting Office intends to issue solicitation number PR-R5-07-10242 to provide technical support services for EPA Region 9 (which consists of California, Nevada, Arizona, Hawaii, Guam, American Samoa, Territories in the Pacific and Tribal Land) for emergency response, removal, site assessment, training, data management and related technical and administrative services. This project is referred to as the Superfund Technical Assessment and Response Team, START 3. These services shall be performed in accordance with the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act of 1980 (also known as CERCLA or Superfund) as amended, the National Oil and Hazardous Substances Pollution Contingency Plan and other environmental statues. The contractor shall provide services to support response and site assessment activities related to the release or teat of release of oil, petroleum products, hazardous substances, weapons of mass destruction or pollutants and contaminants that pose an actual or potential teat to human health and welfare, or to the environment. The Government intends to award a performance-based, Fixed-Rate, Indefinite Delivery/ Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) award term contract for START 3 under full and open competition/unrestricted. The contract resulting from this announcement will have a two (2) year (24 month) base period and tee (3), one (1) year (12 month) award terms years, for a possible total period of performance of five (5) years. The estimated value of this contract is expected to be $35,000,000 for the five (5) year period of performance. The purpose of this notice is to notify potential offerors of EPA's forthcoming requirement. This notice, the RFP, and other information related to this procurement will be posted on Region 5's website, at the following address: http://www.epa.gov/region5/business/index.htm. Interested parties can access procurement information at this site. All information related to this procurement will be available at this link tough the date of contract award. The anticipated award for this contract is on or around February 1, 2008. The North American Industry Classification Standard (NAICS) code for this project is 562910.
