About this award
This is a $150,000 Firm Fixed Price Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Phase I contract awarded by the U.S. Army Research, Development and Engineering Command (RDECOM) to Intelliepi IR, Inc., a small business manufacturer of advanced infrared detector materials and components. The contract is to develop Short Wavelength Infrared (SWIR) Focal Plane Arrays (FPAs) for Hyperspectral Imaging (HSI) applications that can operate at temperatures above 200 Kelvin using III-V semiconductor materials. The objective is to demonstrate the feasibility of achieving high dark current and quantum efficiency performance to enable future Phase II FPA demonstrations. This is a 6-month base contract with a 4-month option period. The contract has a total small business set-aside designation.
Description
This effort is to develop short wavelength infrared (swir) focal plane arrays (FPA) for hyperspectral imaging (HSI) at an extended cutoff and an operating temperature above 200 kelvin using III-v semiconductor materials, and identify suitable roics and collaborators for phase II FPA demonstration. The detectors shall demonstrate the feasibility of achieving dark current (jdark) and quantum efficiency (QE) performance of 10 times of rule 07 and 85% respectively. This is a FFP sbir phase 1 with a 6 month base period, and 4-month option.
