Added: Jun 18, 2009 12:47 pm RECOVERY: PRE-SOLICTATION NOTICE FOR CONSERVATION OF THE DADE PYRAMIDS AND DADE'S MASSACRE MONUMENT, 1842, AT THE ST AUGUSTINE NATIONAL CEMETERY, ST AUGUSTINE, FL (PROJECT NO. R-CSD-56-DI32) This project is being funded from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), National Cemetery Administration, is soliciting bids under Solicitation Number VA-786A-09-RA-0097 for the following: Contractor shall provide all professional services, labor, materials, tools and equipment necessary for comprehensive repair, conservation, cleaning and other treatment, as necessary, of the the Dade Pyramids and Dade's Massacre Monument, 1842, at the St Augustine National Cemetery, 104 Marine Street, St. Augustine, FL 32084, in accordance with the project deliverables and tasks. The project is to conserve the Dade's Pyramids in St. Augustine National Cemetery, St. Augustine, Florida. Constructed in 1842, the tee square pyramids are fabricated from coquina stone, and each is approximately 6 feet tall with an 11 foot square base. Also included in the scope is the nearby free-standing bronze interpretive sign associated with the pyramids, and the Dade Massacre Monument, a 15 foot tall marble obelisk set on a coquina stone base, erected 1881. Proposals will be evaluated on the following factors in descending order 1. Technical Qualifications, 2. Past Performance and 3. Price. Factors 1 and 2 when combined are equal to price. CONTRACT DURATION: Performance period is approximately 30 calendar days from date of receipt of Notice To Proceed. NAICS CODE: 712120 SIZE STANDARD: $7.0 Million METHOD OF AWARD: THE GOVERNMENT CONTEMPLATES AWARD OF A FIRM FIXED-RICE SERVICE CONTRACT UNDER FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION. Award will be made on a competitive basis under Federal Acquisitions Regulations (FAR) 15 to a responsible business responding to this solicitation.
