About this award

Description

The purpose of this contract is to support the department of homeland security (DHS), countering weapons of mass destruction (cwmd) program office to continue efforts for the requirement entitled ???global algorithms for detection of threats in radiography (gadtr)???. This requirement will further develop software system algorithms / nuclear detection algorithms for non-intrusive inspection (NII). Also, this development will help to prove that one vendor is able to develop a detection algorithm that could be used on any deployed NII system. As a result of this, IT is anticipated that overall system cost will be reduced, IT will allow federal operators ownership of the algorithm, and IT will provide a uniform output across the deployed fleet. In addition, IT is anticipated that this contract would continue development to improve detection, reduce false alarm rates, and show that the algorithms can be implemented on other systems.
