Marcum & Sons LLC was awarded a $3.6 million definite contract by the USDA Forest Service Pacific Northwest Region to perform full depth reclamation and asphalt resurfacing of Road 42 in Prineville, Oregon. Under the terms of the contract, Marcum & Sons will pulverize existing asphalt and mix it with cement and base material to create a stabilized base. The company will then construct a new asphalt running surface, restripe markings, replace surfaces on two bridges, upgrade an intersecting road, and conduct asphalt patching. This contract is set aside for total small businesses and was awarded under NAICS codes for highway, street, and bridge construction. The work directly supports the Great American Outdoors Act by improving infrastructure and access within the Ochoco National Forest.
