Description

This proposal will support the implementation of the lunabotics competition, which provides college students with the opportunity to design, build, program and compete with their robots. Lunabotics typically features about 50 teams of undergraduate and graduate students from throughout the nation competing their self-designed and built, autonomously-operated robots to traverse simulated lunar terrain and excavate simulated lunar regolith. Robots will go head-to-head to determine which machine can collect and move the most regolith within a specified amount of time.
