The call procures HE input/output hubs supporting Air Force MQ-1C ground station trainer system updates, specifically to integrate replacement hardware that provides connectivity between user consoles and Linux processing servers. The alternate hardware implementation frees tactical components for actual MQ-9 Reaper ground control stations in the field, addressing material availability driven by obsolete equipment and enabling continued support for overseas operations. Place of performance is Huntsville, Alabama. The ultimate completion date is September 12, 2019. Txal is a woman-owned small disadvantaged business.
Description
He input/output hubs being procured under this action will be supporting air force trainer system updates. These updates are required for the integration of replacement hardware in the MQ-1C ground station training system in order to provide connectivity between the user console and the linux processing server. Implementation of alternate hardware solutions in the trainer system will make tactical hardware available to support actual ground control stations in the field in order to address material availability problems brought about by the obsolete condition. The US air force will not be able to harvest tactical components in order to maintain operational status of fielded fleet of MQ-9 reaper ground control stations, degrading ability to accomplish high value airborne missions in support of overseas operations.
