About this award

This federal contract award was made by the Department of the Army Materiel Command Research Development and Engineering Command to Branae Holdings LLC, a small disadvantaged woman-owned business, to provide commercial hardware in support of the Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC) Reaper Extended Range (ER) Simulator, also known as the MALET-JSIL Aircrew Trainer (MJAT). The MJAT supports a range of training, including qualification, continuation, proficiency, mission rehearsal, and more for Reaper aircraft and payload operators. The $170,176.00 firm fixed price contract will deliver a robust server set to run the virtual machine software and configurations required for the MJAT system, which is managed by the Joint Technical Center System Integration Lab (JSIL) at Redstone Arsenal. Failure to procure this hardware would have resulted in the reduction of Air National Guard Remotely Piloted Vehicle (RPV) operational readiness.

Description

This hardware is needed to support the air force special operations command (afsoc) reaper extended range (ER) simulator (also known as the malet-jsil aircrew trainer, or mjat) plug-and-play trainer managed by the joint technical center system integration lab (jsil) in redstone arsenal. The m-JAT supports a full range of training, including initial qualification, continuation, proficiency, mission rehearsal, pre-deployment, post-deployment, collective, and distributed training. Without this commercial hardware the m-JAT cannot operate, thus the USAF will not be able to train or qualify reaper aircraft or payload operators. Failure to purchase this hardware will result in the reduction of air national guard remotely piloted vehicle (RPV) operational readiness. The aberdeen system provides a robust server set for the use in the mjat system. IT is needed to conform to the various machines and programs being run at the same time. IT can also hold the virtual machine software and redhat configurations on the mjat.
