Pellston Public Schools in Michigan is requesting proposals for carpet removal and epoxy flooring installation at Pellston Middle/High School, with proposals due July 1, 2026 at 2:30 p.m. and a pre-bid meeting on June 23, 2026 at 2:30 p.m. on-site. The scope encompasses removal of existing hallway carpeting, adhesives, and cove base; mechanical surface preparation to achieve minimum CSP 3-4 profile; moisture testing; and installation of epoxy flooring using the Sherwin-Williams Resuflor Topcoat Metallic II system at 27 mils nominal thickness with primer, pigmented basecoat, metallic coat, topcoat, and new cove base throughout corridors. Products must be manufactured in the USA as a single source, and the applicator must be approved by the flooring system manufacturer — key capability filters. Proposals must include Schedule A (Bid Form), an Iran Business Relationship Affidavit, and a Familial Disclosure Statement (both sworn and notarized). Proposals exceeding $50,000 must include a bid bond, certified check, or money order of at least 5 percent of the base proposal sum. The selected contractor must furnish proof of Worker's Compensation at Michigan statutory limits, Commercial General Liability ($2 million each occurrence), Automobile Liability ($1 million bodily injury and property damage), and Umbrella/Excess Liability ($2 million), with the District named as additional insured. Performance and Payment Bonds are required prior to contract execution, with bond costs included in the base proposal. The contractor is responsible for all carpet disposal and damage repair within ten working days at no additional cost to the District. Bid prices must hold for 60 days after receipt of proposals.
