The U.S. Embassy in Mexico City is seeking proposals for public diplomacy programs through its Public Diplomacy Small Grants Program. Eligible applicants include non-profit organizations, educational institutions, individuals, and government entities located in Mexico to implement programs that strengthen cultural, economic, educational and professional ties between the U.S. and Mexico. Priority will be given to proposals focusing on areas such as economic development, workforce development, academic exchanges, migration issues, security and human rights, and climate change resiliency. Proposals will be evaluated based on organizational capacity, program quality and feasibility, goals and objectives, priority area alignment, budget details, and monitoring/evaluation plans with a deadline of March 15, 2024.

Individual awards will range from $10,000 to $100,000 to support programs within 18 months of the award start date. Funded programs must include a U.S. element and are intended to promote increased understanding of U.S. policies and viewpoints. The Department of State's Public Diplomacy Programs (CFDA 19.040) will provide funding for successful applicants, who will be notified by May 2024.
