This initiative is expected to transform the workspace at the Department to leverage the efficiencies realized through telework and a hoteling type workspace environment. New technologies such as workspace management software are necessary to support this effort. The Department intends to solicit the public a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) commercial solution to acquire hoteling software and professional services (project management, implementation support, Go Live support, and cloud hosting support). The anticipated period of performance will be 12 months from the date of award, with two 12 month option periods. The successful offeror shall provide all personnel, labor, materials, supervision, transportation, and all other items not specifically identified as Government furnished, in accordance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS), which shall be included in the solicitation. The hoteling software must meet certain "Go/No Go" requirements that will be provided in the solicitation.

The requirement is anticipated to be competed on a full and open basis after the exclusion of sources and will be a total small business set aside. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 541519 - Information Technology Value Added Resellers, with the business size standard of 150.


It is anticipated the solicitation will be issued electronically within fifteen (15) days after posting of this notice and will be posted on the Federal Business Opportunities website (http://www.fbo.gov ). Interested small business offerors are requested to submit a proposal in response to the solicitation.


Paper copies will not be made available. It is incumbent upon all interested offerors to review this site frequently for any updates/amendments to any and all documents. Any prospective contractors must be registered and/or have updated information in the System for Award Management (SAM) in order to be eligible for award. Information concerning SAM requirements may be viewed at http://www.sam.gov. Telephone requests for information will not be allowed and all questions regarding the solicitation must be emailed to Andrew.Bunk@ed.gov and Eugene.Hopkins@ed.gov. This notice does not obligate the Government to award a contract, it does not restrict the Government in its ultimate acquisition approach, nor does it obligate the Government to pay for any proposal preparation costs.
