About this opportunity
The United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) has issued a Special Notice for their CBRN (Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear) Research, Development, Acquisition, and Experimentation (RDAX) event called "Dragon Spear 24." The Special Notice seeks technology experimentation nominations from industry, academia, and government labs to participate in this one-week event taking place from November 17-21, 2024 at the Guardian Centers in Perry, Georgia.
The purpose of this RDAX event is to explore emerging technologies and technical applications that could provide solutions for future Special Operations Forces (SOF) CBRN capabilities, with a focus on areas such as decontamination, detection, medical countermeasures, robotics, and intelligence/surveillance. Respondents must submit their nominations by August 26, 2024 and adhere to various safety, frequency, and human subjects requirements. USSOCOM will select participants based on the potential capability increase to SOF in CBRN contested environments. There is no intent to award a contract from this RFI, but the event aims to inform USSOCOM's CWMD (Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction) research, development, and acquisition priorities.
