This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.
Solicitation number is DOL124RQ20087 is being issued as a Request for Quotes (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-60.
This is an unrestricted requirement under North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code 333131 (Mining Machinery and Equipment Manufacturing) with a small business size standard of 500 employees or less.
The Government is seeking an underground mine rescue communications vehicle. Full requirement details can be found within the attachment. All CLINS are to be priced in accordance with the Statement of Work. New products ONLY; NO remanufactured or "gray market" items. All items must be covered by manufacturer's warranty.
Unit shall be delivered and accepted at DOL/MSHA, MEO Building, National Mine Health and Safety Academy, 1301 Airport Road, Beaver, WV 25813 by 10 months after date of award. Delivery terms to be FOB: DEST.
Quotes must be received by Mindy Smith, Contract Specialist, no later than 12:00 PM (EST) on August 27, 2012. Quotes will be accepted by e-mail at smith.mindy@dol.gov. Electronic quotes must be submitted in a format compatible with Microsoft Office 2007 or Adobe. Quote pricing must be sent as a separate file from the proposal and the proposal must not exceed 20 pages in total.
Please note that responsive vendors must be registered in the System for Award Mananagement (SAM) to qualify for award. Registration can be completed at www.sam.gov and is free of charge.
All questions on this requirement must be received in writing by e-mail to the Contract Specialist by 9:00 AM (EST) on August 21, 2012 at smith.mindy@dol.gov. Questions and responses will be posted. Phone calls will not be accepted.
