This notice is intended strictly for market research. The purpose of this Sources Sought notice is to determine interest and capability of potential qualifications of Small Businesses, including 8(a), Hub Zone and Service Disabled Veteran-Owned firms relative to the North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) 339113.The Department of Veteran's Affairs is seeking small business manufacturer or distributors of small business manufacturers, of functionally equivalent equipment to all the following:

) Essential/significant physical, functional, or performance characteristics.

o Must have a full-color LCD display with touch screen technology.

o Must have Dual RBC detector technology to allow for high filling of the bowl.

o Must have an integrated Hct sensor which provides information on RBC concentration of the inlet blood during fill phase and outlet blood during the empty phase.

o Must have a waste line color indicator providing on screen information on the wash quality by a visual indicator.

o Must have 4 pivoting wheels with both front and rear handles for maneuverability.

o Must have a transparent centrifuge lid to protect the machine from any spillage and allows visibility into the centrifuge.

o System must be able to transport more than 6 liters and fluid and maintain stability.

o IV poles must have four hooks for bags and a compartment for storage of caps and pens.

o Centrifuge Arm must allow for one-hand arm locking/unlocking.

o Must have an automatic stop when reservoir is empty.

o Must be able to remove >99% of fat particles.

o System must have a >92% Heparin, Protein, Aluminum, and Potassium removal rate.

o Vacuum must have two power ranges -50 to -300in intra-operative mode and -10 to -100 in post-operative mode.
