Added: Aug 18, 2015 3:17 pm The USDA APHIS PPQ Pale Cyst Nemotode program intends to purchase an additional two Model # SF-20 Steam-Flo units with the related parts indicated in this notice for the USDA APHIS PPQ office located in Idaho Falls, ID. A second Purchase Order is NTE $72,469.50 plus shipping costs. The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Animal Plant Health Inspection Services (APHIS), Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ), Golden Nematode Program (GN) intends to award a sole source Purchase Order to Sioux Corporation located in Beresford, SD for one Steam Generator and accessories under the authority under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 and 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1). The description of the generator and accessories include:
• Model # SF-20 Steam-Flo, ASME Coded, Oil Fired Steam Generator (built to specifications outlined in Sole Source Justification (Attachment 1)
• Part No, SA00215, Fitting Connections for 2'' Hose on Steam-Flo, which include Hex head Bushing, close nipple, and brass gate valve
• Part No. AC00485. Hose Steam 2'' x20' 450 F250 psi with 10:1 safety factor Boston 250 or Goodyear Flexsteel - with a 2" steam boss MPT end bolted at one end
The Steam Generator will be used in support of program mission requirements as outlined in Rules and Regulations CFR 301.85 and more specifically to accomplish heat treatments requirements. When the PPQ GN program was first implemented, Sioux Steamer Generators were designed specifically for the PCN and GN application. The USDA purchased the current steam generators from Sioux. They are the only company that manufactures this steam generator that meets all the requirements perform heat treatments as outlined in the regulations, program specific requirements, and meet the logistical needs of the stakeholders' isolated GN infested field locations.
The anticipated Purchase Order value is not-to-exceed $38,079.85. This notice is for informational purposes only. No formal solicitation will be issued.
