Added: Jun 17, 2015 8:54 am NASA/JSC has a requirement for eight single-channel amplifiers for use in the Vibration and Acoustics Test Facility.
NASA/JSC intends to purchase a set of eight AE Techron 7796 high-powered amplifiers from Testech, Inc. for high-power acoustic test operations. The amplifiers are required to perform short-term burst and long-term continous power output, including Direct Coupled (DC) electrical loading conditions (less than 1 Ohm impedence), and must have the capability to be combined in parallel and operate as a single system. To accomplish going from a 4-channel system to a 12-channel integrated system, amplifiers of the identical make and model of the existing amplifiers are required.
The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.
Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local time on July 1, 2015. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government.
Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.
All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.
