About this opportunity

This notice provides advance notification of a proposed sole source award for annual preventative maintenance and repair services for five confocal high-content imaging systems currently used by the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences. The National Institute on Drug Abuse, on behalf of NCATS, intends to award a purchase order with a one-year base period and two one-year options to Molecular Devices LLC, the original equipment manufacturer, to service the scientific equipment using OEM-trained personnel and proprietary parts. Interested parties must respond by February 5, 2024 with their UEI, TIN, and certification of business size to be considered for the award, though the notice indicates the government's intent to make a direct award on a sole source basis.

There is no set-aside designation for this proposed award. The primary NAICS code is 334516 for analytical laboratory instrument manufacturing and the estimated value includes a one-year base period with two additional one-year options. Molecular Devices LLC is identified as the current OEM contractor eligible to receive the sole source contract for preventative maintenance and repairs of the five confocal imaging systems valued at an estimated total of three-years.
