Added: Jan 05, 2012 3:12 pm This contract will provide 24/7/365 security services in order to meet the security requirements defined by the United States Strategic Command Directive 538-2. Services will be provided on board the Sea-Based X-Band Radar Platform (SBX-1) while in port or at sea in the Pacific Ocean area. The acquisition will be set aside for 8(a) Program small business concerns. This acquisition will be conducted as a FAR Part 15 procurement and negotiated in a competitive environment. The contract will be a firm fixed-price contract with reimbursable elements. In accordance with FAR 15.101-2, the best value award decision is expected to result from selection of the technically acceptable proposal with the lowest evaluated price. The period of performance for the proposed contract is a firm period of one year, plus four one-year option periods.

It is anticipated that the Request for Proposals (RFP) will be issued in February 2012. The RFP will be available on the MSC Website at http://www.msc.navy.mil (click Contracts; search N00033-12-R-2000).
