About this opportunity

The Department of Veterans Affairs published a Special Notice seeking capability statements for stormwater management services at the VA Caribbean Healthcare System facility in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Capability statements must identify any affiliated companies and plans to jointly bid through a veteran-owned small business, with the North American Industry Classification System code of 562998 and Product Service Code S216. If sufficient interest is expressed, the VA will post a solicitation on the Federal Business Opportunities website to procure these stormwater management services.

The VA Caribbean Healthcare System (VACHS), 10 Casia St, San Juan, PR 00921, has a requirement for the maintenance of stormwater drains at the facility. Work will include but is not limited to maintain sediment prevention measures and cleaning of catch basins/manholes, drop inlets, piped outfalls structures, pipe cleaning, sediment removal and channel maintenance.

Initially a Sources Sought notice for this procurement was posted on 06/17/2020, but had an incorrect submission date (the date had already passed). Therefore, this notice is being posted again.

The stormwater infrastructure of the facility contains approximately 110 storm drains. The Contractor shall be prepared to work and have resources (labor, materials and equipment) necessary to complete the above-mentioned tasks.

North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this requirement will be 562998 (All Other Miscellaneous Waste Management Services), and the Product Service Code (PSC) will be S216 (Housekeeping Facilities Operation Support).

All responsible sources may submit a capability statement with sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to meet the subject requirement. This is not a solicitation. If there is sufficient interest, a solicitation shall be posted on the FBO website.

Interest/capability statements shall be submitted to Wilfredo Perez via e-mail at wilfredo.perez3@va.gov by July 2, 2020 at 10:00AM EST. Telephone inquiries will not be accepted.
