2.Another points list is provided, using data derived from the existing Metasys BAS.

Update #2 ·

Added: Jan 20, 2010 10:05 pm Modified: Jan 29, 2010 8:02 pmTrack Changes

Oakland BAS amendment:

1. GSA will provide and deliver to site the computers to be used as the server and operator workstations. We will provide a specification for these.

2. The lighting controls contractor, under separate contract, will be installing a new 1 GB ethernet network without disrupting the existing ethernet over coaxial network. The controls contractor will have use of the coaxial network throughout the process, and is expected to cut over the new building automation system to the new ethernet network by the time work is complete. Use of the new network must be coordinated with the lighting controls contractor. The new ethernet network will be extended by the lighting controls contractor to all locations currently served by ethernet over coaxial.

3. Potential offerors may visit the site again on Wednesday 1/27/10 at 10:00 AM and on Friday 1/29/10 at 10:00 AM. Contact Todd Araujo at 510-628-0664 to coordinate.

4. Metasys NCMs and workstations should be preserved and turned over to JCI when removed. Note that the scope of work includes removal of the relatively new central plant controls hardware (which was installed as an interim measure due to instability of the plant).

5. Disregard section 4.1.2. "Contractor Proposals" in the Concept Design and Specifications document. All instructions for proposals are in the Solicitation document.

6. Record drawings must be submitted in PDF and CAD (.DWG) files as well as in hard copy. CAD files must conform to the GSA CAD Standards. Submittal drawings need only be submitted in PDF.

7. GSA will provide the server and operator workstation computers. The server provided will be a Dell PowerEdge R710; the workstation computer will be a Dell Optiplex 780 Small Form Factor. Specifications to include GSA furnished software are posted. This replaces specification requirements to furnish computer hardware and operating system software, but the Contractor must provide all additional software required. These computers will be shipped to the site or to the Contractor's offices as mutually agreed; the Contractor will be given administrative rights to install and configure software, but all Contractor personnel working on the computers, whether on-site or off-site, must have HSPD-12 clearance.
