Regional Procurement Office (RPO) - East intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Primus Sterilizer Company, LLC, 8719 S. 135th Street, Suite 300 - Omaha, Nebraska, 68138, to purchase two small steam sterilizers for the Research Laboratory located at the Omaha VA Medical Center. The specific equipment will replace two older sterilizers that are past their life expectancy. The following equipment will be purchased:

Product Capabilities & Salient Characteristics
Sterilizers must:
Run standard vacuum, gravity, liquid and test cycles (leak test cycle)
Be free-standing and fit into the space occupied by the current units without the need for infrastructure changes
Have the following dimensions:
The 16x16x26 in. chamber unit and 20x20x38 chamber unit should have a depth and width no more than 34X30in and 47x36in respectively.
Maximum height for both units can be no more than 74 inches to fit under current canopy hoods.
Must run on 50 psi house steam and house water
Electrical requirements:
Units must connect to single phase 120V power using a 5-20P NEMA configuration.
No floor drains are available, so the units must drain to vertical drain lines.
The chamber finish must be For future needs it must be upgradeable to use water saving technologies which can save 90% of water usage. This technology must use single phase 120V electrical power.
Vendor must:
Remove and dispose of older units.
Install, set in place, start up and train users on new sterilizers
Operators and maintenance manual must be included with purchase
Warranty should be at least one year on entire unit and 10 years or more on the chamber.
Contractor must have fully trained local field service representative that are able to service Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) equipment.
This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Any responsible sources who wish to identify their interest and capability to provide this equipment or equipment that is compatible must notify this Contracting Specialist at millicent.covert@va.gov, NLT Wednesday, June 5, 2019, 12:00 PM (noon), EST. Telephone responses will not be accepted. Upon receipt of the interested parties' notification, the Contracting Officer will determine whether to conduct a competitive procurement or proceed with sole source negotiations..
