About this opportunity
The Department of Agriculture Forest Service R3-Southwestern Region is issuing a pre-solicitation notice for the Johnson Mesa Reforestation project. The agency plans to award a firm-fixed-price contract for tree handling, planting, and protection installation services to reforest approximately 1,500 acres on the Pecos/Las Vegas Ranger District of the Santa Fe National Forest. The government estimates planting 266,000 seedlings, with a 15% variance. Interested parties are invited to submit a Statement of Capability by June 14, 2024. This procurement will be set aside for Small Businesses. The contract is expected to have a 3-month period of performance, with work commencing between mid-August to early September 2024. Payment will be based on the contractor's planting quality, with deductions for unacceptable quality or wasted trees.
