About this opportunity

The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) is seeking a contractor to manufacture a Power Supply, with proposals due by March 28, 2025. This contract is classified under the Current-Carrying Wiring Device Manufacturing NAICS category and focuses on procuring electrical converters with specific design and quality requirements. The solicitation mandates strict compliance with military standards, including MIL-STD-130 for item marking and MIL-STD-2073 for packaging. Contractors must submit proposals exclusively via NECO or email and provide detailed documentation about design, material, and potential part number changes. The government will evaluate proposals based on the contractor's ability to meet precise technical specifications, quality assurance standards, and authorized distributor status.

The contract is a firm fixed-price type with no specific set-aside designation, and the government's required delivery date is January 1, 2027. While no specific award value is disclosed, the solicitation indicates the contractor must have capabilities in electrical device manufacturing and be prepared to maintain comprehensive inspection records for 365 calendar days after final delivery. The procurement is specifically for power supply items with unique cage code references (53711 6660519), and contractors must demonstrate compliance with critical safety item requirements. Potential bidders must provide proof of being an authorized distributor of the original manufacturer's item, documented on company letterhead. The contract includes provisions for potential design changes, with specific code classifications for part number modifications, and will be overseen by the NAVICP-MECH Contracting Officer.
