About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking to procure 77 units of a specific power supply item with National Stock Number 7H-6130-013255516, using Technical Data Package Version 009. The agency intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under FAR 6.302-1, indicating a potential sole-source procurement. All responsible sources are invited to demonstrate their interest and capability to respond to the requirement within 45 days of the notice's publication (or 30 days if awarded under an existing Basic Ordering Agreement). The Government does not currently own the data or rights to the data needed to contract repairs from additional sources and has determined it is uneconomical to purchase these rights or reverse engineer the part. Interested parties must include their CAGE Code on solicitation requests and can obtain relevant specifications and standards through the DoD Single Stock Point's Document Automation and Production Service.
The pre-solicitation notice indicates no specific set-aside for small businesses or disadvantaged vendors. The procurement is categorized under PSC Category 6130-P for Electrical, Nonrotating Converters, with a delivery specification of FOB Origin. While no specific award value is mentioned, the quantity of 77 units suggests a moderate-scale procurement. The Government explicitly states that this notice is not a request for competitive proposals, but will consider all proposals received within the specified timeframe. Importantly, the agency reserves sole discretion in determining whether to proceed with a competitive procurement based on the responses received. Potential contractors can access additional documentation through ASSIST-Online or by contacting the DODSSP ASSIST Help Desk, with most documents available in Adobe PDF format.
