About this opportunity
The National Aeronautics and Space Administration Shared Services Center is seeking to procure a portable electromagnetic interference (EMI) shield enclosure for use at NASA Glenn Research Center's EMI testing facilities. The required enclosure must be a 6-sided, collapsible radio frequency structure with specific dimensional requirements including a fully deployed height of 6-8 feet, floor dimensions of 5-7 feet square, and a storable configuration no larger than 6x6x3 feet. Key technical specifications include 90 dB shielding effectiveness from 30 MHz to 18 GHz, total weight under 200 pounds, and the ability to withstand 10,000 deployment/storage cycles with documented prior use in NASA EMI test facilities. The government will evaluate proposals using the lowest price technically acceptable (LPTA) criteria, awarding the contract to the responsible offeror with the lowest price that meets all technical requirements. Quotes are due by June 27, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. CT and must be submitted via email to the contracting officer.
This procurement is set aside for small businesses, requiring all offerors to be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) and to provide their SAM UEI/CAGE code with their proposals. No incumbent contractor or current service provider is identified in the solicitation documents. The solicitation does not specify the contract value or budget range for this procurement. The enclosure must be capable of deployment and storage by no more than two people without powered tools, with deployment and storage times under 3 hours each, and must include features such as a personnel door, test panel aperture, and removable bulkhead feedthrough plate with N-type connector. The delivery destination is specified as FOB Destination to Cleveland, Ohio, which aligns with the NASA Glenn Research Center location where the equipment will be utilized for electromagnetic interference testing operations.
