Added: Jun 10, 2015 5:47 pm Modified: Jun 11, 2015 11:01 amTrack Changes The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Region 3, Bloomington, MN intends to award a sole source firm fixed price order under authority of FAR 6.302-1, Other than Full and Open Competition procedures to Illumina Inc., San Diego, CA. This requirement is for a Next Generation Sequencer to provide sufficient data for accurate species identification in support of invasive species monitoring program for the Great Lakes. This system, the NextSeq 500 model from Illumina, Inc. will aid in the need of a second instrument needed to meet the demand of generating several hundred samples each year. In cooperation with the Upper Midwest Environmental Sciences Center (UMESC), the Sequencer must be the exact same model used by UMESC in order to use the sample and generate data that can be processed by the same downstream methods. The sequencer model that UMESC is using is the NextSeq 500 model from Illumina Inc. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) Code is 334516. The size standard is $500 Million. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals; however firms with expressed interest and capability are encouraged to respond by June 17, 2015, 2:00 central standard time. This notice is for informational purposes only. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
