FINAL AMENDMENT
The purpose of this amendment is to revise the access point for installation of the VTL. The access point/door for the installation site has been changed and now has the following dimensions:144" wide and 120" high.
Quotes conforming to these revised specifications are due to Grace.Garrity@nist.gov by 5:00 PM ET on Monday, September 28. All other terms and conditions remain unchanged.
Update #3 ·
Added: Jul 17, 2015 11:15 am
The purpose of this amendment is to:
(1) Correct an error contained in the Q&As released on 7/15. Question/Answer #8 was stated as: "#8: Will there be a site visit scheduled?
Answer: No site visit will be scheduled. The Access point is a 10ft high by 12ft wide door." The dimensions of the door provided in that answer are incorrect. After additional measurements, it has been determined that the dimensions of the access point (door) are 9ft high and 14ft wide. NIST apologizes for the inaccurate initial repsonse.
(2) Extend the quote submission deadline to 9:00 AM Eastern Time on Monday, July 27, 2015.
(3) Provide answers to the following additional questions received:
Additional Question (1): The equipment comes standard with a manual 49" 4 jaw faceplate. Is the requirement for this to be a hydraulic chuck capable of high/low pressure or is the standard acceptable.
Answer: The requirement is for a programmable high and low pressure chucking pressure, so manual would not be acceptable.
Additional Question (2): The SOW calls for a 24" and a 15" 3 jaw chuck. Are these to be manual chucks to be mounted in the larger chuck of the machine.
Answer: The chucks are replaceable mounting on the chuck adapter plate covering the spindle of the machine
Additional Question (3) Is it possible to get an extension beyond July 22nd to submit an offer?
Answer: Yes. The quote submission due date is hereby extended to 9:00 AM Eastern Time on Monday, July 27, 2015.
All other terms and conditions of the original solicitation (as revised by Amendment 1) remain unchanged.
