Added: Nov 07, 2008 5:15 pm Modified: Apr 21, 2009 2:08 pmTrack Changes This project involves the construction of stream improvement features over approximately 2 miles of Red River. The work includes instream habitat structure installation, channel relocation, earthwork, and revegetation. Revegetation will consist of erosion control seeding and on-site transplants only. This project is located approximately 55 miles east of Grangeville via State Highway 14 to the junction of Red River Road (NFS road 222) then proceeding approximately 10 miles on the Red River Road. The project is located on the Red River Ranger District, Nez Perce National Forest, Idaho County, Idaho. Price estimate for the total project is between $250,000 and $500,000. A formal pre-bid tour was held in the Fall of 2007. The only significant change made since this time is the source location of the trees for the instream structures. They will be harvested from a unit source located in Deadwood Creek. No formal pre-bid tour is planned at this time.
