Added: Apr 07, 2015 12:57 pm Modified: Jul 15, 2015 9:41 amTrack Changes The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office in Grand Prairie, Texas intends to issue a solicitation for the provision of Mortuary services for the United States Medical Center for Federal Prisoners located in Springfield, Missouri. The contract period shall consist of the Effective Date of Award through September 30, 2016 and four 12 month option periods for renewal at the unilateral discretion of the Government. This will include, but is not limited to the removal of the body, local transportation, embalming and body preparation, clothing, casket, as well as other professional mortuary services of federal inmates who have passed away during their time of incarceration. The contractor must observe and comply with all local, state and federal laws and regulations relating to the embalming, preparation, burial, and shipment of bodies. The solicitation will be available on or about April 21, 2015 and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration Federal Business Opportunities website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. The site provides downloading instructions. Hard copies of the solicitation will NOT be available. Any contractor interested in obtaining a contract award with the Federal Bureau of Prisons must register at www.ccr.gov. All future information about this solicitation, including solicitation amendments will also be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. The anticipated date for receipt of quotations is July 22, 2015, 2:00 P.M. CST, however, this is a projected estimate and quoters should refer to the solicitation (1449 -Block #08) for the actual date quotations are due. The North American Industry Classification System code for this solicitation is 812210 with a size standard of $7.5 million. This solicitation will be a total small business set-aside. All responsible small business concerns may submit a quote which will be considered. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations can submit offers/quotes equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. The anticipated date of award is September 1, 2015.
