Added: Jun 21, 2017 6:53 pm The purpose of this contract is to procure 1) de-duplicated patient level data on patients receiving any clinical test for viral hepatitis (negative and positive results), 2) additional longitudinal data (including liver function test results, comorbidities, and pregnancy status among women) on persons with positive hepatitis test results and a subset of persons with negative test results, 3) aggregate data on total number of patients served by the laboratory per time period, stratified by selected characteristics, and 4) detailed description of collection, management, validation, and interpretation of data from commercial laboratories that conduct viral hepatitis testing in the United States.

Examples of analyses include monitoring trends in viral hepatitis A, B, C, and E testing, positivity, and clinical outcomes and management over time and by characteristics as available (sex, age, geography, payer), and describing characteristics (geography, specialty, setting, type of test) of providers conducting hepatitis testing monitor trends over time.
